"A special thank you goes to our project manager, whose professionalism was exemplary. He managed the project timing perfectly and there was barely a day when someone wasn’t here working away."

I do not really have any constructive criticism as such, but one suggestion that may be of value, would be to have a communications sheet for the site manager and owner to write messages on.

I realize you may have some concerns about being held to keep a promise once a written not is made on a communications sheet, such as when a trades person is due to come (as these things can be variable due to unforeseen circumstances like bad weather and other site emergencies).

However I do think it would be of value to make sure important messages are conveyed to the owner eg: please empty kitchen cupboards by (date) as trades people will need to remove kitchen on (date); or please take curtains down on (date) or bath is disconnected, please do not use. The owner could use this sheet to also communicate minor information or questions that don’t necessarily warrant a phone call.

GOODPOINTS:

Right from the first phone call we found the whole team at Extensions Unlimited to be very attentive and professional.

The Design Consultant listened to our requests, and came up with a design that suited our needs and existing construction. Once the work commenced, we had fairly tight deadlines due to overseas visitors arriving and despite very inclement weather, the team worked very hard to meet the goal of getting the job finished on time, with a couple of days to spare!

A special thank you goes to our project manager, whose professionalism was exemplary. He managed the project timing perfectly and there was barely a day when someone wasn’t here working away. Any small concerns (mainly due to the bad weather) were resolved quickly, professionally and satisfactorily. He promptly returned my calls if I left a message, and he impressed me with his patience and availability, no matter how busy he was.

Living with renovations can be very taxing but because I also run a busy natural health clinic from home, perhaps even more so. Disruption was kept to a minimum. I was nervous about continuing to work from home whilst the renovations were taking place. I needn’t have been concerned at all. The building site was always safe and tidy especially as I have clients constantly coming and going (some of my clients who currently work in the building industry themselves, showed surprise at the tidiness and order of the building site), and I did not hear one expletive…important when your home is also your workplace!

Without exception, all trades people were respectful of my home and workplace. They appeared genuinely happy in their work. They were careful, meticulous, patient and easy to deal with. They all deserve special thanks. I would like to mention the team of carpenters, who spent most of their time here. Thank you guys!

I have no hesitation in recommending Extensions Unlimited to anyone!
