How we are consulting & designing in the Covid-19 Environment.

In this difficult and uncertain environment, our design & cost process has been completely recast to minimise risk and ensure the safety of our Designers, our support-staff and our Clients. All members of the Design-team are currently working and communicating remotely, utilising remote-technologies to consult and create client-focused, fully-specified and costed, permit-ready designs. And our Permits Department is running remotely and fully-operational, continuing to work with Building Surveyors and Councils, processing plans so they are ready for construction. How we are building in the Covid-19 Environment.

Right now, we are continuing to construct extensions as normal. And to protect the health of our staff, our tradespeople, our suppliers and our Client-families, we are operating within State Government best-practice guidelines to minimise the possibility of Coronavirus transmission. We have emphasised to our staff, tradespeople and suppliers the importance of physical distancing and hygiene. The document spells out the working practices we are following. It also notes that the construction industry, unlike some other industries that have been restricted or shut-down, is at the present time to continue operating. We are aware that the situation could change. Construction activity could be suspended by government instruction with minimal notice, and we are communicating openly with our clients about this possibility. We have contingency plans being constantly updated for all of our construction sites, so that if an order to suspend works is received, we can ensure that for the period of the suspension our clients’ homes are both secure and safe. Our Project Managers continue to be available by email and phone as usual. Our office-staff are as always available too, and as a precaution now working remotely.
